You have to look on a front stem clamp to see if there are sharp edges on it. Use some sandpaper so you will be able to remove it. This should be done so the fiber from the aluminum or the carbon will not be damaged. Once it is already on its place, you can immediately clamp that to a stem. You should be certain that it has been tightened.

You should slide the lever to the bar. If it makes you uncomfortable, you should adjust it depending on what you want. You have to place it carefully. You have to remember that if it would be broken, it would affect the warranty of the material.

You could wrap it if you want to. If you would try it, you have to make sure that you are wearing your helmet. Check if it would be working properly before you would be using it on far away places.
